Contact form and email. If you contact us, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, subject and message. We use these only to reply to you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry.
Comments. If you leave a comment, we store your name, email address, comment, IP address and browser details, to display the comment and to help prevent spam.
Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and the pages you request. This is used to keep the site secure and working, and is deleted on a rolling basis.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

This site does not set cookies when you browse it. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. If you leave a comment, you can choose to have your name and email address remembered in a cookie for next time.

Affiliate links and retailers
When you click a link to a retailer, such as Amazon, eBay or a music shop, you leave our site. The retailer may set its own cookies to record that you came from us, so that we can be paid a commission if you buy something. Content from other websites
Some pages show product images loaded from retailers' servers. When your browser loads them, the retailer receives your IP address. Embedded YouTube videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube does not set cookies unless you play the video.
How long we keep data
- Contact messages and emails: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
- Comments: for as long as the comment stays on the site.
- Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider, usually a few weeks.
Who we share data with
